HaPpY THaNkSGiViNG!

This is the first Turkey I have ever made. It must have tasted good because Josh stuffed himself full. Josh and I actually enjoyed being alone for Thanksgiving. It was nice to have a quiet and relaxing day together. Josh and I had a big turkey dinner then went to the movie four christmas's in the afternoon. The movie was great. I just started to pull out a few chirstmas decorations. I not planning on putting up a tree this year because we will be going home for christmas. Today I went shopping at Kohls at 4am. I was planning to do more shopping afterwards but I decided it wasn't worth it. I didn't like being amongst all those crazy shoppers.

Snow Canyon Half Marathon

Josh and I completed the Snow Canyon Half Marathon yesterday!

Family Weekend Together

Last weekend my parents came to visit us. On Friday we went to Thriller, Saturday we went to the PBR bull riding finals in Vegas, Sunday we shoped in Vegas, and Monday we went hiking. My parents weren't planning on leaving until this past Wednesday but ended up leaving one day early to miss the bad weather that was coming. We had a great time with them but it just went too fast.

Vegas

Josh and I drove to Vegas on Sunday to see Amber and Michael. We ate at the Cheescake Factory (Yum, Yum)! It is always fun getting to visit friends that are vacationing in Vegas. It was really cold here this weekend and when I went running Sunday morning it was only 35 degrees. When we were in vegas it was only 60 degrees.

Josh did it!!!!!

It was a big day for Josh. He completed his first marathon. He woke up at 4:00am this morning to catch a bus that took him to the start line. I was able to watch him when he was at mile 17. He was still going strong and looked great. I didn't see him again until he crossed the finish line. He had to run in 50 degree weather and rain the entire time. This was a drastic change from the 90 degree weather we've been having. Josh was able to finish the race with a friend of ours Brennon who you can see with Josh in one of the pictures. They were both having a lot of foot/leg pain at the end of the race so they kept eachother going. None of the pictures really captured Josh running but there were so many people with umbrellas blocking my view and very little time. I wish everyone could have been here to see him. He did great and I am very proud.

Half Marathon Route

So as of now I plan to run in a half marathon in November. I'm still not quite sure I'll do this because it seems I'm frequently having foot pain. If Josh can do a marathon though then I should be able to complete this half marathon. Josh runs his marathon next weekend! I can't believe the time has finally arrived. I wish him the best of luck, he has been training so hard. GO JOSH!

On September 21 and 22 the Boschee Brothers (Cleo and Richard) had their 110 acres of corn silage custom chopped by the Meidinger Enterprise, Herrid, SD. The following pictures were taken during the process. The silage cutter cuts eight rows at a time, four trucks are used to haul the product to the silage pile, and a 8130 John Deere tractor driven by a South African worker helped Richard (6400 John Deere) pack the silage. This process took about eleven hours. Normally it would take Richard and Cleo 7-10 days. Their cutter can only cut two rows at a time. This corn averaged 17 - 18 ton per acre. This amounts to 1.980 ton which equals to 3,960,000 pounds of corn silage. Now that is a lot of feed for our angus cattle. This synopsis was written by Cleo and Joan Boschee.

Above is a picture of my dad next to his corn field just prior to cutting it all down. My oh my is that tall or what?

Josh's dad Donny came to visit us for the weekend. Some of the highlights were riding on the big shot (a ride in vegas), hiking at Kanaraville, swimming, and riding go carts. It was a fun and busy weekend. Today we woke up at 3:00am to take Donny back to the airport so we plan to go to bed early tonight.

9/19/08
Josh and I just recently finished working in our backyard. We love being out there now. Josh is very proud of the bench he built. The seat is granite. For those of you who haven't seen my new car here it is.
